What is Safe Place?

Safe Place is a national program that designates businesses, schools, fire stations, and other locations as safe sites where young people in crisis can go for immediate help. SCICR manages the Safe Place network in Orange County as part of the national Safe Place program.

What to do

  1. Look for the yellow Safe Place sign at a participating location near you.

  2. Go inside and tell a staff member or employee that you need Safe Place.

  3. They will contact SCICR and stay with you until help arrives.

  4. A trained SCICR staff member will meet with you to understand your situation and connect you with the right support.
